Burnout
Tired. Very tired. All the prowling is killing me. Guard duty is crazy. I get it once every two or three days. This week is fucked up. I got one on Saturday and one on Monday. So damn tired liao. Only thing is that luckily both duties are sentry duty. At least not that bad. Because the camp is damn big, one round is approximately 3km.Then in every two hour shift, must prowl two rounds. By the time i finish duty, my legs will be damn tired from all the prowling. Not to forget that sleep is disrupted like crazy. No time to recover fully and normal training resumes. So tired. This week, I had two runs. One 7km and one 8km. I came in one of the last for both of the runs. Not that i dun wan to run or that i am slacking off, but my legs are too tired to run. Pain la. So fast burnout liao. It took me a long time of canoeing training before i had a minor burnout. So fast i get one liao. It just sucks la. Hope that NDP gets over and done with soon, so that i can be relieved of my guard duty.
Luckily, OC is kind. He gave everybody block leave for Tuesday and Wednesday since my basic combat engineer couse is over liao. Although its burning off my leave, i couldn't care less. At least i can get to rest. Rest is a privilege in the army. Yay. I'm finally getting some. If not i will surely be half dead liao.
Basic Combat Engineering Course has ended for me. So, i am now considered a vocation trained combat engineer liao. Although the course is just a very basic one and the specialization course will be up next, i will be getting my combat engineer badge to be put into all my uniform, and not to forget my blue beret to distinguish me from other units. At least soon my uniform won't be as plain as before and won't look like a recruit liao.
Soon i will be going back camp for my guard duty rml. This weekend sucks for my as after i come out on Sunday morning, Sunday night i will have to book in for Monday Guard duty liao. Then i will get to rest as my next book in is Thursday morning liao. Terrible schedule but wad the heck la. Still have to do it. Bye. See you when i come out again.
